How a tragic event affected my family and my school life.

Sometimes sh*t happens… unfortunately, this semester was tough! Between juggling work and school and trying to be ready for the show and graduation, my family and I were hit with some tragic and horrible news …

Unfortunately, we lost a very close friend/ family member to a domestic related murder… she was only 27…no one wants that news.. and it was at an already heightened stressful time in my life and my family’s. Between work, and trying to comfort and help my family from afar, I let myself get into a pocket and fell behind in my school work… I’ve been working so so hard to stay on top of everything, but unfortunately sometimes we get lost. Some time has passed now and I was able to catch back up, but my family has is still continuing to heal. Amidst all the chaos, I am thankful for my instructors for being understanding and there when I needed them. I’m also thankful for all of my friends that are continuing to help me through this difficult time.
It’s a reminder to hug your loved ones close because you never know when they won’t be here anymore… It’s also a reminder that you are not alone and if you or anyone you know is dealing with a domestic abusive relationship or situation to call for help!!
I did it Liss I’m graduating!
